Governors

Welcome to the Governors' Page

The governing body at Felbridge Primary School takes an active role in the life of the school.

The governing body is constituted as follows:-

5 parent governors, 2 LA governors, 3 staff governors, 4 community governors

A key role for the governing body is to support the establishment of an annual School Development Plan. This plan establishes the framework for the development of the school and the delivery of actions supporting the school vision. Monitoring the school’s performance against this plan, requires an understanding of how the school works and is only achieved by the establishment of a close working relationship with the Headteacher, staff, children and their parents. Much of this work is completed in committee meetings focused on Staffing, Curriculum, Finance and Premises. Governors also take on specific interest roles to better understand key initiatives and curriculum issues eg Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, Special Educational Needs, Healthy Schools etc.

I am fortunate to receive excellent support from my fellow governors and am grateful also for the hard work and commitment of Mrs Trigg and all the staff at Felbridge Primary School. The PTA is also a much valued contributor to school life. Without the funds raised by the PTA each year, we would not be able to deliver the learning environment so valued by our children and parents.
