Outdoor Learning

We are fortunate to have school grounds that provide opportunities for a variety of outdoor learning experiences. We know that by giving children a wide range of learning environments we will cater to their differing learning styles.

Classes R, I and 2 have their own outdoor learning areas adjacent to the classrooms. These have overhead canopies which allow them to be used for most of the school year.

We have two large playgrounds which are used throughout the school day for break times, PE activities and often as an extension to the classroom environment.

Our school field enables access to a variety of sports and we hold our Sports Day in the summer term on the field. We also have a play frame over a safety surface and an adventure trail.

We have a small woodland area which provides exciting opportunities for outdoor learning across the curriculum.

Our Old School House - the oldest school building still in use as a school in Surrey- has its own garden and pond area. This area is excellent for hunting mini-beasts!

As well as providing a wide range of outdoor learning activities in school, we offer our pupils a range of educational visits. These visits are associated with the work being undertaken in class. More information about these visits can be found on class pages.
