Jaguars Class - Wilder Schools
Yesterday, Jaguars had another visit from Harriet, from Surrey Wildlife Trust.
With the sun shining, they were able to enjoy being outside in the woods and learning how to start a fire! Using a flint and steel and cotton wool, lots of cheers could be heard when we successfully lit our cotton wool! We also collected lots of natural items to create 'maps' of the school, including leaves, twigs, woodchip, sweet chestnuts and their spiky cases. In groups, the children used their items to show the different areas of the school. We all had a great morning, which ended with toasting marshmallows and singing some campfire songs.
Thank you, Harriet, for another fabulous Wilder Schools Session.
