Year 5 - Science Observatory at Herstmonceux

On Wednesday, Macaws class visited the Herstmonceux Science Observatory to learn more about earth and space. We enjoyed a really exciting science show learning about how rockets launch into space, infra-red technology and life on board the International Space Station. We were really lucky that the sun was shining all day so we could explore the interactive discovery park and we also had a tour of two of their telescope domes.  We couldn't believe how enormous the telescopes were and have so much new knowledge about the work that astronomers carry out. It was a wonderful day out!
