  • World Book Day

    Fri 08 Mar 2019

Well done to all the children who made such an effort in dressing up for World Book Day.  They all looked absolutely fantastic and have brought a smile to everyone’s face in school! There was such a wide variety of books represented.

1st prize for KS1 went to Toby (Class 1)  and 1st prize for KS2 went to Evie (Class 6). Runners up were Kenzie (Class R), Christopher (2), Lila (Class 3), Daisy (Class 4) Megan (Class 5).

  • Quick Stix Hockey

    Fri 08 Mar 2019

On Wednesday, Miss Harvey and I took Millie, Brodey, Finn, Oliver and Anna from Class 6 and Daisy from Class 5 to East Grinstead sports club for the Quick Stix hockey tournament with other schools from all over East Grinstead.

Despite the weather, the children were excited to start and after a quick warm up, played four, seven minute matches.  This decided which league they went into for the afternoon matches.

After a short lunch, Felbridge were placed in the premier league.  The children scored some fantastic goals and demonstrated some solid defending.

Throughout the day team spirit was superb and the children showed great resilience in awful conditions which didn’t dampen their enthusiasm.  Well done to all of them eventually coming 4th in their league.

Thank you to Mrs Wraight for transporting the children to the event.

  • Class 3 - French Café

    Fri 08 Mar 2019

On Monday, Mrs Pearce transformed Class 3 into a French café.  Here’s what they had to say:

“In Class 3 some of us wore stripy t-shirts and berets for the French food lesson.  I wore pretend garlic and onions around my neck.  We also drank red and white grape juice and pretended it was wine.  I enjoyed speaking French too”.    Stan

“Class 3 had a French food lesson and we tried three different foods, a croissant, brioche and French bread and butter.  We pretended it was a café, Mrs Pearce’s café.  We all enjoyed this”.     Sofia

  • Class 2 - National Maritime Museum

    Fri 01 Mar 2019

Class 2 had a wonderful day at the Greenwich Maritime Museum.  We spent some time in pirate school learning what it takes to be a fearsome pirate as well as exploring the museum looking at real artefacts and learning lots of interesting things about pirates.  If you see us in school next week, why not ask us about some of the interesting things we learnt.  Thank you to Mr Bushell, Miss O’Brien, Mrs Horton, Miss Robinson, Miss Lamb, Mrs Maxwell and Mrs Polley for accompanying the children.

  • East Grinstead Netball League

    Fri 01 Mar 2019

On Wednesday, the school netball team played their final two matches of the season. Their first match was against Crawley Down Village which they won, after a slow start, 2-1. Unfortunately they lost their second match against West Hoathly 6-3. All the children played really well and learnt a lot whilst doing so. Very well done to Brodey, Emma, Evie, Fletcher, Macey, Millie, Nathan and Summer.

Thank you to Mrs Wilson and Mrs McKee for transporting the children.
