Year 2 have had a busy week with a trip to Butser Ancient Farm on Tuesday to kickstart their Stone Age topic! A HUGE thank you to all of the members of staff who made the trip happen despite the initial minibus hiccups and ensured that the children had the BEST day! I was incredibly proud of the children's resilience and patience when it came to arranging transport and for fully engaging in the fantastic activities in spite of the heat! We thoroughly enjoyed fire lighting, archaeological excavation, chalk carving and learning a lot of key facts! The children are all looking forward to applying their new knowledge to different activities over the next term.
