It has been a busy few weeks for the Macaws!  Last Thursday 19^th May, we were lucky enough to be invited along to Lingfield Racecourse to learn all about horse-racing.  We were given the opportunity to visit the Weighing Room, the Parade Ring and even walk along the track.  After lunch in a suite at the Racecourse, we joined the paying public to watch the first two races of the day.  It was an amazing experience and we all had a wonderful time at the races!  Then on Wednesday 25^th May, Macaws visited the British Wildlife Centre to enrich our science studies and learn more about local habitats.  We had a private tour of the centre, meeting the foxes, otters, deers and owls, followed by a walk through the red squirrel enclosure where we got up-close to a beautiful red squirrel.  We loved seeing all the rats at the centre and had the opportunity to meet a lovely barn owl and a cute hedgehog.  The children had another wonderful day out!
