Monkeys - Visit to Ashdown Forest
We had a very active day at Ashdown Forest appreciating the mud and puddles! We acted out like woodpeckers using sticks against the trees to mimic their sound. Unfortunately we did not see any. We made imprints of leaves, pine cones and similar objects using clay. In groups, we created our own animals using natural objects in the forest, building bridges using sticks and tested them by crossing over the stream - that was a lot of fun! It also helped us to understand the strength of materials and their sizes. We sketched the natural environment. Thank you to the parent helpers. I am sure everyone slept well after the trip!
