  • Class 5 Visit to Herstmonceux

    Fri 21 Oct 2016
There were lots of hands on exhibits.  The first hands on exhibit had a machine that you would pick a colour of plastic and some letters and it would melt the letters into your plastic.  It looks so cool.
After that we had lunch and then went to the discovery park.  It had a boat that you had to balance when you stood on it!
Then we went to the water play and there was a lot of water!  There was a big machine that everyone was helping to power.  Finally we went to the shops that had a lot of crystals and some mood rings.

There were lots of things to do at Herstmonceux Science Observatory like:  the hands on inside exhibit, telescope tour, discovery park, shop and the water play area but overall my favourite was the discovery park.

  • Class 6 Assembly

    Fri 21 Oct 2016
On Tuesday, Class 6 performed their assembly to the rest of the school and their parents. The assembly was fantastic and the children gave us all quite an insight into their recent residential visit. We heard about the activities they took part in, the fun they had, their learning and the fears they had to overcome during the week. We also saw a selection of photos and short video clips of many of the activities and shared a couple of songs with them. Well done Class 6!

  • Cross Country Race 2016

    Fri 14 Oct 2016
Last Sunday 12 girls and 9 boys from Felbridge took part in the East Grinstead Athletic Club's Schools Cross Country Race, running a distance of 2400m at East Court. The weather was ideal and all our children performed extremely well. Our first girl home was Erin Thompson in 24th place out of a total of 115 competitors with a time of 11:18 minutes; she was closely followed by Jessica Wilson in 25th place with a time of 11:19 minutes.
Our first boy to complete the course was Fletcher Henderson in 71st place out of a total of 168 competitors with a time of 11:11 minutes.
Very well done to all those children who took part: Chloe Lacey, Isabelle Turner, Jessica Wilson, Millie Wilson, Freya Bradstock, Daisy Titchener, Lyla Henderson, Grace Mewse, Annabel Bornati-Jones, Erin Thompson, Lia Harding, Mia Willett, Jude Foster, Fraser Turner, Finn Devery, Starsky Gualtieri, Fletcher Henderson, Kamdyn Bunting, Nathan McKee, Rhys Harding and Hugo Allessie-Rueda. With some very young members of the team, we look forward to their future performances!
  • Class 6 Residential Visit

    Fri 07 Oct 2016
Year 6 have had a super week in the Isle of Wight enjoying a wide range of activities that included zip wire, archery, bushcraft, volleyball, beach games, balance beam and abseiling. Evenings have just been as busy with a campfire, scrapheap challenge, mini Olympics and a Trail of Mystery evening that involved Mrs Trigg needing to dress up in a white coat and a bald wig! I really enjoyed my visit to the site on Wednesday and seeing how happy and relaxed the children looked. Our sincere thanks go to the adults that have accompanied the children and worked tirelessly this week.....Miss Simpson (party leader), Mrs Bienkowski, Mrs Wright, Mrs Trigg and Mr Yule (our ex chair of governors and an ex parent). Without this dedication, trips such as this could not take place. We hope Year 6 enjoy sharing the tales of the week with friends and family over the weekend and we look forward to seeing them in school on Monday, rested, back to work and to their Year 6 duties! My thanks also go to the Year 5 children who have covered the Year 6 duties so diligently this week.
