  • Class 6 - Bikeability

    Fri 24 May 2019

Class 6 have had a fun week completing their Bikeability training. They have learnt how to: start and finish an on-road journey, recognise typical hazards, let other road users know their intentions and safely pass parked cars and side roads. They know where to ride on the road and have learnt how to stay safe and show respect for other road users. They are now more confident and competent road using cyclists. Well done Class 6!

  • Class R - Wakehurst Place

    Fri 10 May 2019

Class R spent a fantastic day at Wakehurst Place on Wednesday, despite the weather! We were very lucky to spend the day with one of their teachers, Sue, who told us the story of the Wakehurst Dragon! We made collecting pots then went for a walk around the grounds looking at where the Dragon may have ventured! We collected lots of different treasures that the Dragon may have left behind. We also worked in groups making some amazing natural art pictures. Class R were extremely well behaved and a real joy to take out. Many thanks to Mrs Hiller, Mrs Black, Mrs Foster, Mrs Andrews and Mrs Sims for helping make our trip possible.

  • Tag Rugby - Friday, 26th April

    Fri 03 May 2019
“The tournament took place at the East Grinstead Rugby Club. When we
arrived we had our lunch and then played our first game against West
Hoathley, beating them 12-5. The next team we played was Blackwell
who we beat 7-0. We then played Halsford Park and Ashurst Wood,
beating them both. Our team spirit was high. We all played well,
encouraging and congratulating each other. Most of our players scored
at least one try and Fletcher, Jay and Finn played especially well. We all
had a lot of fun. Thank you to Mrs Oliver and Mrs Pearce for supporting
us. This is a non-competitive event but … we won all of our games!” By
    Nathan and Elliot
Thank you to all the parent’s that helped to transport the children.

  • Dorking Halls

    Fri 03 May 2019
“When we arrived, we all went into the big hall and got
ready for rehearsals. George, the conductor, was doing
actions that were great. Soon, we were going on to the
stage to do the performance (I was so nervous). The
best part for me was seeing the St Bede’s boys choir
called ’Man up’, perform two songs. They were great,
but the overall experience was BRILLIANT!”
    By Daisy, Class 5
“On Wednesday, the choir went to Dorking Halls for the
Surrey Arts Music festival. We sang four groups which
were gospel, show tunes, ABBA and audience
participation, songs which were all conducted by George. My favourite song was “Thank
you for the Music”, which is an ABBA song.”
    By Francesca, Class 5
Thank you to Mrs Luckett and Mrs Egan for teaching the choir this year.
