  • East Grinstead Schools Cross Country

    Thu 18 Oct 2018

The annual East Grinstead Schools Cross Country races took place last Sunday at East Court. Two small teams of 3 girls and 7 boys took part. All the children did extremely well in inclement conditions, completing the course successfully. Our best result was from William who only just missed out on a place in the next round of competition.

We were very proud of all the children who took part. Well done to Addison, Lena, Imogen, Rhys, Jackson, Kamdyn, Alex, Oliver, Jude and William.

  • Netball Tournaments

    Thu 18 Oct 2018

“On Wednesday, 17th October, 8 of Class 6 went to East Grinstead Sports Club for a netball tournament. We played Turners Hill and Halsford Park and won against Turners Hill 4-0 and lost against Halsford Park 6-3. Millie Wilson scored 4, Brodie Aitken scored 1 and Fletcher Henderson 2.

We played well and grew in confidence as we went through the games.
Thank you to Mrs Trigg for taking us.” By Mille and Nathan

Well done to all the children who took part and thank you to Mrs Wilson and Mrs McKee for transporting them.

  • Class 6 Residential Visit

    Fri 12 Oct 2018

Class 6 have had a full and action-packed week on the Isle of Wight and all seem to have had an amazing time.  Many activities have kept them busy including bodyboarding, climbing, abseiling, zip wire and the giant 3G swing.  The weather at the start of the week was beautiful although they were hit by some rain yesterday which didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits.

Our thanks go to Laura Oliver (party leader), Beth Luckett, Vanessa Pearce, Debbie Pitt and Emma Dalziel (ex-parent) for accompanying the children on the trip.

We look forward to welcoming them all back to school later this afternoon and to sharing some of their adventures with them next week.

  • Basketball Tournament

    Fri 12 Oct 2018

On Tuesday eight Year 5 girls and boys participated in a basketball festival held at Sackville School. Facilitated by the skilled Year 10 sports leaders, our players spent the first part of the morning learning new skills and improving their existing ones. The skills section was then followed by a friendly tournament against other East Grinstead schools. Felbridge showed great enthusiasm, determination, skill and sportsmanship and, although it was not a formal competition, we were proud of the overall 1st and 3rd places of our two teams. Well done, Felbridge!

  • Harvest Festival

    Fri 05 Oct 2018

Thank you to all who shared our Harvest Festival services today. We hope you enjoyed celebrating with us. The Junior service at St John's Church went really well and the children sang and spoke beautifully.

Our thanks go to Mark Francis and the church for allowing us to visit. We were also very proud of our Infant children who delivered a very well rehearsed Harvest service at school. All the children sang so well and we were particularly pleased with our new Reception children who seemed very unfazed by their performance. A huge thank you to all the staff who have worked so hard to get the children ready. Thank you to all the parents who have generously donated to our collection to Médecins Sans Frontières and Crawley Open House.  We raised £466.46 which will be shared equally between both charities.
