  • Class 5 and 6 - Visit to Down House

    Thu 22 Oct 2020

On Thursday 15th and Friday 16th October, Class 5 and 6 enjoyed a wonderful day out to Down House in Keston.

The family home of Charles Darwin was full of beautifully preserved artefacts and wonderful gardens for us to explore.  The trip was an excellent opportunity to put our learning about ‘Evolution and Inheritance’ into practice, as the children found out more about Charles Darwin, his journey on The Beagle and the work he undertook whilst living at Down House.

It was a fabulous day out (helped by the glorious sunshine!) and several members of the public commented on how well behaved the children were.  It was a lovely opportunity to get out of the classroom and explore the history on our doorstep.

  • Class 1 and 2 - Visit to Leeds Castle

    Fri 16 Oct 2020

On Monday, Classes 1 and 2 visited Leeds Castle. The children enjoyed a tour of the castle as well as a workshop where they all got to dress up and tell the story of the Swan Princess. They also had some time to play in the huge castle playground! They had a wonderful day and all the staff who accompanied them were really impressed with their behaviour and enthusiasm. We have since heard from Leeds Castle, who said that several members of their staff also complimented the Felbridge children on the way they conducted themselves. Well done Class 1 and 2 for being great ambassadors for the school while out and about!
