  • Toucans - Pavillions

    Fri 29 Apr 2022

Toucans have been busy making pavilions for either Winnie-the-Pooh and friends or tourists at Ashdown Forest. We learnt how to build secure structures from lollipop sticks and reinforce joins. We created the walls by applying a range of materials. We thought about how to weave, twist, or layer the materials to create our desired effects. We believe that if Winnie or some tourists decided to spend some time in our pavilions, they would have a relaxing time!

  • Girls Football Festival at Ardingly College

Girls Football Festival at Ardingly College

On Wednesday, 5 girls from Pandas and Toucans attended the Ardingly Football Festival and had an amazing time.

They played 8 mini games against the seven other local primary schools present and managed to score a total of 18 goals across their matches!  There was also an incredible 160 goals scored across all matches that afternoon between all the schools!

The coaches at the event named Sophie E MVP (Most Valuable Player) for Felbridge for which she was given a ball and water bottle.  All children received a certificate and a yummy tea provided by the school, for which they were very grateful after a cold but fun afternoon of football.

Their team spirit was so lovely to watch as they cheered each other on and congratulated the others schools that they were playing against.

And of course, Felbridge had the best looking team kit by far, it looked so smart and eye catching on the pitch!

Thank you to Miss Savident for accompanying the children to the festival.
