  • Class 4 - Viking Workshop

    Fri 14 Dec 2018

Bjorn the Viking visited Class 4 yesterday.  We had a brilliant day full of hands-on activities and fun.  Bjorn taught us a lot and showed us lots of realistic and authentic Viking artefacts.  We hope Bjorn comes back to visit our school again next year!

  • Rocksteady

    Fri 14 Dec 2018

On Wednesday the whole school and parents were entertained by the Rocksteady bands.  Several groups performed on drums, keyboard, electric guitar and vocals.

Thanks to Huw who has taught the children all year.

  • Junior Christmas Carol Service

    Fri 14 Dec 2018

A huge well done to all the juniors for their superb performance of “Bells Ring Out” on Tuesday afternoon and evening at St John’s Church.  The children made us very proud with the beautiful singing.  Well done to Class 6 for their clear telling of the Christmas story.  Our sincere thanks go to St John’s church and their team for making us so welcome, John Crossman who, as ever, played the piano beautifully and all junior staff for their hard work in preparation for the service.  Thank you to all parents who attended and gave generously to Médecins Sans Frontières. We raised £303.60.

  • Football

    Fri 07 Dec 2018

On an exceptionally rainy, wet Wednesday this week Felbridge took part in the next round of the Primaryship league.

We had two games ahead of us. In the first game we played Baldwins Hill. Through a fantastic first half performance we managed to go 2-0 up and this lead was nearly extended in the second half after an amazing run from Mikey, where he beat two players before being chopped down at the goal. The game finished 2-0.

The real excitement came in the second game, where we faced a well-rounded Halsford Park team. After going behind twice we battled bravely to bring the score back to 2-2. And in the dying moments a fantastic looping corner from Jay was put into the back of the net to make it 3-2 in the dying moment. Huge celebration followed. Thankfully the boys managed to hold on to the end and secured a 3-2 victory.

It was great to see a team with great spirt and teamwork. Special mention must go to Jay for his hardworking resilient performance. Well done to all the boys. The whole Felbridge community can be very proud of the way they played and conducted themselves as sports people.

Thank you to all the parents who transported the children.

  • Lights, Camel, Action

    Fri 07 Dec 2018

A huge well done to all our infant children for a delightful performance of their nativity, Lights, Camel, Action. Class 2 did an amazing job with their acting and narrating roles and leading the singing, Class 1 were super wise men and camels with Class R stepping on to the stage for the first time as shepherds and sheep.

The singing was lovely and we were very proud of every single child who performed. Thank you to everyone who came to watch and support the children.

  • Christmas Fair

    Fri 07 Dec 2018

Last Saturday saw the school transformed for our annual PTA Christmas Fair which was very well attended. There were lots of stalls with things to buy, games to play, delicious food and our regular visit from Father Christmas.

This event would not be able to take place without the hard work of a number of people who organise the event both before and on the day. Thanks go to the Fair committee - Amanda Broughton, Pauline Keetley, Lauren Kelly and Jenna Duffett. Thanks also to Laura Fricker and Venetia Lansdell-Cobb for their amazing work decorating Santa's Grotto, Fraser Hartnell for preparing and cooking food, Graham Keetley for the photo booth (including donating all the equipment and resources), Giorgia Wheatley, Jane Foster, Eliska Kelly, Nadia Andrews, Celeste and Danny Bushell for set up and work before the day of the fair, Vicki Mustard for decorating the tree, Justin Broughton for virtually single-handedly putting every table back in its correct place, Class 5 along with Mrs Luckett and Mrs Benwell for their fundraising efforts, Mrs Warland, Mrs Vermeer and Mrs Scott for their admin support, Nick Brand for ensuring that school was ready for the children on Monday morning, all parents who gave up their time to help run a stall and finally to everyone who attended and joined in.

We were delighted to have raised approximately £3000 with some raffle ticket money still to be collected.
