  • Mrs Trigg's Leaving Tea

    Mon 22 Jul 2019

This afternoon we all enjoyed a wonderful Felbridge 'street party' to say thank you to all our amazing parent and community school helpers and also to bid a very sad farewell to Mrs Trigg and wish her every happiness for her retirement. Mrs Trigg enjoyed some lovely singing from the children and was presented with her leaving gifts purchased through generous donations from parents and staff. Amongst them were some beautiful diamond earrings, a keypad for her iPad, vouchers for the theatre and John Lewis and a beautiful print of the aerial photograph taken of all the children at Felbridge. Many thanks to Mr Lansdell-Cobb (father of Darcy and Fletcher) for organising this for us, using his own drone. It was a lovely way to say a proper goodbye to Mrs Trigg and we hope her gifts will serve as a constant reminder of all of us here and our thanks for her many years of incredible service to the school.

Tomorrow, in our leavers' assembly, having already said goodbye to Mrs Trigg, we will be bidding farewell to Class 6; Brodie, Hugo, Annabel, Kamdyn, Evie C, Alana, Sienna, Macey, Finn, Jay, Jude, Clementine, Charlie, Khye, Starsky, Rhys, Fletcher, Summer, Elliot, Alex, Daisy, Nathan, Anna, Emma, Sarah, Evie S-W, Elzaine, Phoebe, Cassidy, Millie, Oliver and Brodey and also a few other children across the school; Ellody D, Harry D and Tilly S. We wish them every success for the next step and will miss them greatly.

We also say goodbye to Mrs Egan; we wish her every happiness for the future and thank her for all her contributions over the years. She will be missed a great deal.

  • Class 6 Leaver’s Party

    Fri 19 Jul 2019

Class 6 had great fun at their leavers party on Thursday evening.

They enjoyed a delicious barbeque (a big thank you to our PTA chefs!) followed by tasty ice lollies.

Many memories were captured with our fabulous photo booth from absolutebooth.co.uk - children used the brilliant props provided, added lots of giggles and smiles and took away their photo printouts to keep as a memento of their final party at Felbridge Primary School.

Class 6, you are all superstars!

  • Sports Day

    Fri 19 Jul 2019

This year we were blessed with wonderful weather for our sports day, a stark contrast to last year!

The children took part in all the activities with great endeavour and enthusiasm. There was some brilliant long jumping, throwing, golfing and sprinting on show. It was also pleasing to see so many confident children willing to take part in the showcase sprints at the end of the day. Well done to all children who qualified for these and chose to take part.

Also a massive well done to all the children for showing  a fantastic attitude and sportsmanship on the day.

  • School Council

    Fri 19 Jul 2019

Class Council have worked really hard to raise awareness of Global Warming in our school. Esme and Mikey represented the school wonderfully by attending meetings at Imberhorne School along with other schools in the area. The school council worked together to make a poster and board game to help raise awareness. Mrs Trigg and Mrs Sloane were particularly proud of how well they represented the school when laying a wreath at the memorial bench on the  green.

We look forward to working with the new school council next year!

  • Girls Football

    Fri 19 Jul 2019

On a sunny Monday afternoon we hosted a series of girls football matches against Crawley Down. There was some wonderful football on show and as a result we were victorious in 3 out of 4 of our games. I was delighted to see how far so many of the girls have come in such a short space of time, some of them only starting this term in the girls football club after school.

All of the girls have made a brilliant start to their footballing journey and I look forward to seeing how they progress in the future. Player of the match was Evie C who did not stop running and scored a few goals in the process.

    Well done to all involved.

  • Ready For More drawing competition

    Fri 12 Jul 2019

This week the winners of the drawing competition have been announced. We were blown away by the quality of entries, so much so that the final decisions came down to the style of drawing that we felt would suit the posters best. Very well done to everyone that entered. All entries will be on display near the office until the end of term. Congratulations to the winners Charlie Class 2 (Responsibility and Reflection), Mikey Class 5 (Resilience) and Millie Class 6 (Risk Taking and Co-operation).

  • Multi Skills and Crew Trainers

    Fri 12 Jul 2019

On Wednesday, Class 2 and the Class 5 crew trainers attended the multi skills festival at Imberhorne Upper School. The event consisted of a carousel of activities created and led by the crew trainers of our school and other schools. This in turn was overseen by Year 10 sports leaders. It was a fantastic event and brilliant to see all the children excelling in their different roles. The crew trainers represented the school magnificently and this was reiterated by comments made by teachers at both St. Peters and Escots, who commented how polite, patient and kind all of our crew trainers were. In particular Ryan K showed particular determination and enthusiasm and  one teacher commented what a brilliant job he had done working with their Year 2 children. Well done to all! Thank you to all parents who helped us walk there and back as well!

  • EGGSFest

    Fri 12 Jul 2019

Yesterday evening, our choir took part in the annual EGGSFest at Sackville School.

The children were part of the Samba band as well as part of a huge choir made up of lots of children from most of the East Grinstead primary schools  They sang three songs: Something Like This, Celebration and Make Your Own Kind of Music.  They all performed beautifully and made us very proud.

A very special thank you to Mrs Egan for all her hard work with the choir during her time here at Felbridge.  The children in choir will miss her very much!

  • Class 1

    Fri 05 Jul 2019

Class 1 have been learning all about castles leading up to our visit to Arundel this Friday. We worked together to make an enormous cardboard box castle outside and made our own shields decorated with pictures of things that make us all individuals. We're so excited about our trip!

  • PTA Summer Fair

    Fri 05 Jul 2019

Last Saturday saw the PTA hold their annual Summer Fair. On the hottest day of the year so far, members of the PTA worked incredibly hard to make sure the Fair was its usual success. It was lovely to see so many families there, all enjoying themselves. Thank you to the school choir who performed brilliantly and also to the school Country Dancing group who, despite flagging from the heat for their final dance, did extremely well.  We would also like to thank 1st Hedgecourt Scouts who worked the barbecue.

Thanks to everyone involved with organisation - Ashley Morgan, Amanda Broughton and Lauren Kelly who were instrumental in planning. Also to Penny Letchford, Eliska Kelly, Carolyn and John Kallmann, Pauline and Graham Keetley, Jenna Duffett, Venetia Lansdell Cobb, Martin Cobb, Giorgia Wheatley, Aaron Scott, Iain Kelly, Henry Lacey, John Kelly and Gareth Morgan who were involved in a lot of setting up and taking down.

Thanks also to all parents who spent some time manning a stall, to all staff who attended - looking after the bottle stall or going in the stocks - and to everyone who came to the fair. Our final thanks go to Nick Brand who, as was commented several times during the day, worked his socks off!

We raised approximately £2000, so thank you to everyone who supported the event.

The next PTA event is the Family Event on Friday 19th July, we hope as many of you as possible will be able to join us.
