  • Class 1 - Brighton Toy Museum

    Fri 15 Dec 2017
Class 1 visited the Brighton Toy Museum to learn about how the toys we play with today differ from those of our grandparents and great grandparents. It was a very exciting start to the day as we headed for Brighton in a double decker bus! At the museum we were mesmerised by all the amazing toys on display and we were lucky enough to be able to handle some of them. We learnt about how they were made and how moving toys were powered before batteries and electricity. A special treat at the end of our visit was a puppet show of a Russian folk tale. What a brilliant day we had!

  • School Council - Term Summary

    Fri 15 Dec 2017
The School Council have had a busy term. They have asked their class friends which charity they would like to raise money for and have decided on the Dogs Trust. To raise money, the children have decided they would like to hold a “Disco day “in the New Year. Details will be sent home about this after Christmas. Felbridge are also proud to announce that they are now linked with a school in Chanzige, Tanzania  and will be looking at ways to raise money for this school in the New Year.

Many children have asked School Council if they can hold a careers day where adults come into school and talk about their different jobs. To effectively manage this we would be grateful if there would be any adults who would like to come into school and talk to the children during an assembly.

Class 6 School Councillors have been great ambassadors for the school and recently went to Imberhorne School where they met with a number of other School Council children from different schools.

  • Rock Steady Concert

    Fri 15 Dec 2017
The school and some parents were treated to a fantastic concert on Wednesday afternoon in school. All the bands that have been working so hard this term performed under the able guidance of their Band Leader, Huw Lloyd-Williams. We are very proud of how much they have achieved this term and look forward to their next performance.
  • Junior Christmas Service

    Fri 15 Dec 2017
A huge well done to Classes 3-6 for their superb performance of '9 Carols and Readings' on Tuesday afternoon and evening at St John's Church. The children sung and spoke beautifully and really made us feel very proud. We would like to congratulate Eva-Marie Cottle, Zoey Goldberg and Izzy Hounslow for their delightful recorder rendition of Good King Wenceslas and also to the choir for their stunning rendition of Carol of the Bells. Our sincere thanks go to St John's Church and their team for allowing us to celebrate there, John Crossman who, as ever, played the piano beautifully, all our Junior staff for their hard work in preparation for the service and to Graham Keetley for moving the furniture to and back from church.
Thank you to all our parents who supported both the Infant and Junior services - we collected £501.50 which will be split  between St John's Church and Crawley Open House.

  • PTA Christmas Fair

    Fri 08 Dec 2017
Last Sunday we held our annual PTA Christmas Fair which was very well attended. There were lots of stalls with things to buy and games to play, delicious food and our regular visit from Father Christmas.

Huge thanks go to the PTA team who worked incredibly hard to organise the event - Amanda Broughton, Vikki Hobday, Jenna Duffett and Pauline Keetley. Thanks also to Laura Fricker and Venetia Lansdell-Cobb for their amazing work decorating Santa's Grotto, Fraser and Annie Hartnell for preparing and cooking food, all other parents who gave up time to help behind a stall, Class 5 and Mrs Luckett for their fundraising efforts and to everyone who attended and joined in our fundraising event. We were delighted to have raised approximately £3300 with some raffle ticket money still to be collected.
