  • Cross Country Final

    Thu 28 Mar 2024

Evie ran in the Sussex School Games Cross Country Final yesterday morning and, although it was a very muddy race, placed 38th out of 150 year 5 girls.  Evie ran for Mid Sussex and as a team they came in 2nd place out of 10 teams and was very pleased with her silver medal.

Well done Evie.  We are all very proud of your success!

  • Star Gazing Evening

    Thu 28 Mar 2024

Last night, Year 5 came back to school at 6.30pm for an exciting session of star gazing. Tom Holloway (from Primary Science Teaching Trust) a star gazing expert, showed us the difference in the size of planets and stars using an animation, which blew our minds! We then went outside to look at the stars and for once the weather was on our side and we had a fantastic time learning about Orion, Sirius (the brightest star in the sky), the North Star and The Plough. We saw several satellites whizzing across the sky too. It was a very interesting evening made all the more special with biscuits, hot chocolate, whipped cream and marshmallows!

  • Hockey Festival

    Thu 28 Mar 2024

Some of our children took part in a hockey festival yesterday and they had a great time.

Frank, Shane, Alfie, Poppy, Lily G and Everly from Pandas Class took part in the morning and played a carousel of activities, learnt new strategies and skills and were amazing team members.

In the afternoon Sophie, Louie, Rafferty, Noah M, Ethan and Toby from Jaguars class, took part in a Hockey Competition, playing several matches against other local primary schools.

Despite the wet start they had thanks to the English weather, everyone played extremely well and put in their very best! We won our first game and drew another; however, we had some tough competition and came 5th overall out of 7 schools. The team represented Felbridge School very well, showing excellent team work and sportsmanship.

  • Toucans Class - Lingfield College

    Fri 22 Mar 2024

Toucans Class visited Lingfield College on Tuesday to solve an art heist! Van Gogh's starry night painting had been stolen! We used science skills to narrow down the suspect, technology and engineering skills to solve puzzles to gain clues and art skills to recreate the missing painting. We had so much fun and the children represent the school superbly with their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm.

    Well done Toucans!

  • Pandas Class - Brambletye

    Fri 22 Mar 2024

Pandas Class had the opportunity to visit Brambletye school this week to see their performance of Around the World in 80 days. We were blown away by the level of words, dancing and performances that were required.

Everyone helped us to feel welcome and we are excited to see if we get another invite.

  • Football Fixture - Wednesday, 6th March

    Fri 08 Mar 2024

One of our amazing football teams met at the East Grinstead Sports Club on Wednesday to play in three matches against other East Grinstead schools. Unfortunately they were not successful in their games, but most importantly they had fun, played well as a team and got some valuable game experience.

    Well done boys!

  • Netball

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

On Wednesday our some of the girls from our Year 5 netball team played an incredibly tough match against a very strong (predominantly year 6) team from Crawley Down School. Even though Crawley Down proved themselves to be the better team, Felbridge never gave up or stopped smiling. Their perseverance was thoroughly appreciated. Well done to Poppy, Emmi, Alisha, Lena, Darcie, Olivia, Amelie & Lucinda.

  • Bird Feeder and Seed Bomb Sale

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

On Tuesday, Year 5 held a sale of the Bird Feeders and Seed Bombs that we had made last week as part of our Wilder Schools Project.

We were really pleased at how enthusiastic the parents and children were to buy our produce!  We made a fantastic £92, which will be put towards a Wildlife Camera for our woods.  THANK YOU!!

Please remember to 'log your action' of buying our Bird Feeders and throwing your Seed Bombs, using the QR code, so that we increase our chances of winning the £500 prize. It only takes a minute and we would really appreciate all the 'actions' we get.

Thank you again for your support.
