  • Class 1 Assembly

    Thu 13 Feb 2020

Class 1 had their assembly this week and really enjoyed it! They loved being Earth Protectors and wore their super hero masks for the rest of the day, spreading the messages shared in their assembly. They had worked hard for many weeks learning all about how to look after our earth and implemented their learning at home and when they were out and about - turning off lights and taps, switching off appliances, picking up litter, recycling and educating others to do the same! We are so proud of how well they remembered their lines and how brave they were to say them in front of the whole school and all the adults - well done, Class 1!

  • Netball Tournament

    Thu 13 Feb 2020

Yesterday afternoon, Felbridge netball squad participated in round 4 of the local schools’ tournament. They did us proud!

We got off to a great start winning the first match against Crawley Down 7-4. The children worked successfully as a team, passing the ball well and scoring some great goals. The second match against an experienced West Hoathly team proved harder. Although we didn’t come out on top, the children persevered and gave their all until the end. Well done Felbridge High 5 netball team.

Thank you again to the parents who transported the children to the tournament and thank you to Mrs Ruffels for coaching and accompanying the children.

  • Classes R, 1 and 2 - Chinese New Year Celebrations

    Fri 07 Feb 2020

This morning, children from Classes R, 1 and 2 were lucky enough to experience a small insight into how Chinese New Year is celebrated.

They watched a short film about the Chinese New Year Zodiac story and one about the Lunar year, made red paper flower window banners, learnt to write Chinese characters and made dumplings.

Thank you to Dr Zhao (mum to Sofia in Class R) for giving the children such a wonderful morning and to Mrs Hodge, Mrs Letchford, Mrs Black, Mrs Hiller and Mrs North for giving up their time to help out.

  • Class 3 - Fishbourne Roman Palace

    Fri 07 Feb 2020

“We had a fabulous day at Fishbourne Roman Palace.  To start with we got on a coach with our partners for 1 hour and 30 minutes journey.  We played games, chatted and fell asleep! When we arrived, we watched a small video clip about how Fishbourne was found.  It was really interesting.  Next we explored the beautiful Roman gardens, large, patterned mosaics and the museum where we spent £1 in the gift shop.  Then we went to get our lunch and ate together in a small room.  After a nice lunch, we went to the workshop where we met a lovely lady who taught us lots of things Romans did like weaving and writing on wax.  Fletcher and Darcy dressed up as a king and queen and Fleur was a slave for the lady, as were we!  It was a great day out.  We had so much fun and by the end everyone was exhausted”

  • Netball Tournament

    Fri 07 Feb 2020

On Wednesday this week, 8 Classes 5 and 6 children from our netball team, went to the East Grinstead Sports Club to take part in their first netball tournament.

The first match was against Copthorne Junior School.  The children played a fantastic game but unfortunately Copthorne was able to take possession of the ball allowing them to score successfully.

During our second game against Baldwins Hill Primary School our team had definitely warmed up and found their groove!  There was some amazing defending and passes between the children and we won 4-2! A fantastic result.

Thank you to the parents who transported the children to the tournament and thank you to Mrs Ruffels for coaching and accompanying the children.
