  • Class 6

    Fri 21 Sep 2018

"At the start of the term I felt quite nervous because it was a whole new year and a whole new teacher with harder work, loads more tests and a lot of revision.  I was also pretty excited as this year our class are having reading partners who we play with and read to on Friday’s which is really fun!  I’m also really looking forward to our class trip to the Isle of Wight, which we are going on in a couple of weeks for about 5 days!  In maths, we are doing place value and to help us we listen to the rounding rap!  In English we are writing a story and doing lots of work on a brilliant short-film call The Lighthouse.  In science, we are learning about electricity, how electricity works and different sources of electricity.  Finally, in computing we are creating programs by coding with scratch.  I am really looking forward to a great year in year 6!”

  • Class R

    Fri 21 Sep 2018

Class R have settled really quickly into school life. They have spent time with their reading partners, sharing a book or two. They have also created their first display board by drawing self portraits.

  • Class 1

    Fri 14 Sep 2018

Class 1 went on a nature treasure hunt in the woods and discovered a gigantic mystery egg! We have lots of questions and ideas about where it may have come from, what’s inside it and when and why it came to be in our school’s woods. Some of us think it might be a dinosaur egg, but dinosaurs are extinct...aren’t they?!

  • Class R

    Fri 14 Sep 2018

A very warm welcome to all the new children in Class R.  We are very proud of the way you have come in to school and settled so quickly.  A huge thank you to our new class R parents who have enabled their children to settle so quickly by being so positive, as we appreciate this can be an upsetting time. The children have already adventured onto the climbing frame, activity trail and joined the other children at both play and lunch times. We look forward to working closely with you over the next school year.

  • School Games Mark

    Fri 07 Sep 2018

Felbridge have again achieved Gold in the Sports School Games Mark for the third year running.  We have been able to maintain this award by taking part in extra curricula activities and providing a broad range of sporting activities.

We will now be able work towards achieving the Platinum award, which is held by very few schools.

  • Welcome Back

    Fri 07 Sep 2018

We hope that you all had a good summer break and enjoyed the holiday. It was lovely to welcome the children back to school on Wednesday following our staff training day on Tuesday. We are also very happy to welcome Mrs Sims to the staff team, teaching Class 6 and also Miss East who will be teaching Class 1 on Mondays and Class 2 on Thursday mornings.

Mrs Oliver was appointed at the end of last term as Assistant Headteacher and will also assume primary responsibility for special needs provision across the school.  We are also looking forward to welcoming our new Reception children into school next week.

Can we also take this opportunity to thank you all for the lovely cards and gifts that many of our staff received at the end of last term.
