  • Themed Week - Class 3

    Fri 18 Nov 2016
In Class 6 we have been studying a piece of music by Benjamin Britten called Storm.  We have created five pieces of work so far such as: a line to show how the music changes in pitch, a descriptive poem, two pieces of art work, one ‘calm sea’ and a ‘stormy sea’, seen the steel drum workshop and have made ‘stormy noises’ on a website called ‘the ambient mixer’.  Class 6 have really benefited from this and have enjoyed themed week and will be sad when it’s over!

    Fri 11 Nov 2016
This morning we were brilliantly entertained by Class 5 during their assembly.  They told the school and their parents all about their learning on Earth and Space. They read story summaries, recounts of their visit to Herstmonceux Observatory, showed their art, gave us information about the effect of plate tectonics on the earth and about the phases of the moon. They also sang two songs they had learnt in class. Well done Class 5.

  • Class 3 Visit to Horniman Museum

    Fri 04 Nov 2016
“First I arrived at school and Mrs Bienkowski took the register.  After that she sent everyone to the toilet, then she put us in partners.  Suddenly it was time to go.  Me and my partner got on the coach and we played some games with Mrs Benwell.  After a while we got there.  We put our bags down and then we had snack.  After that we were put in partners and then we went to the aquarium.  We saw stingray, jelly fish and starfish.  Then we met downstairs and we went in to the dinosaur exhibition and there was a sand pit that was actually made of little pieces of rubber.  After that we went in to the gardens and had our lunch.  A little while later we went in to the main hall and then we had to say bye bye to the museum and we got back on the coach.”
