  • East Grinstead Schools Cross Country

    Fri 18 Oct 2019

The annual East Grinstead Schools Cross Country races took place last Sunday at East Court. Nine boys took part; they all did extremely well and all finished the course despite the very muddy conditions, on what was a winding and hilly course! Our best result was from Oscar who came a brilliant 28th overall!

We were very proud of all the children who took part. Well done to Dexter, Marley, William J, James K, Rowan, Cian, Oscar, Frankie and Alex W.

Many thanks to Mr Gualtieri for accompanying and assisting the children during the competition.

  • Sports Crew

    Fri 18 Oct 2019

We would like to introduce you to our new Class 5 sports crew: Florrie B, Effie, Harrison, Audrey, Charlotte, Katie, Lucy, Sofia, Cian, Lily, Florie H, Alex M, Faye and Theo.  The children attended a crew training session this week at Imberhorne Upper school, and had a very enjoyable morning learning new skills. Mrs Pitt commented on how magnificently they represented the school.

Sports crew, what do they do and how will they benefit our school?

    ·  Sports crew organise, manage and officiate intra and inter school events

    ·  Develop leadership skills

    ·  Act as role models for other pupils

    ·  Provide insights to help steer PE & school sport strategy

Thank you to Mrs Pitt for accompanying the children and to the parents who helped to transport the children to and from the event, without whom attending sporting events would not be possible.
